Getting Excited for Summer Reading with Jarrett Krosoczka

Author/ Illustrator Jarrett Krosoczka signs our library copies of his fun and exciting books. Come in to check them out!

This week librarians from across Massachusetts gathered to share ideas and make plans for the 2015 summer reading program. One of the biggest highlights of the day was a great talk from author/ illustrator and Massachusetts native Jarrett Krosoczka. Mr. Krosoczka is the author of the popular Lunch Lady superhero graphic novel series, and the Platypus Police Squad series as well as many picture books. You can learn more about his books at http://www.studiojjk.com/ He also created the art for this years's children's summer reading program. The theme in 2015 is "Every Hero Has a Story" and we will be learning about heroes both local and legendary all summer long.

Mr. Krosoczka was nice enough to sign some of our library copies of his books-- stop by to check them out and stay tuned for more information about the summer reading program. It's sure to be SUPER!

Every Hero Has a Story is sponsored by Wheeler Memorial Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
