Brownies at the Library!

Brownies 11210 recently visited the Wheeler Memorial Library for an evening of fun learning about Eleanor Roosevelt's friendship with Amelia Earhart.  They listened to Candy Cross read Amelia and Eleanor Go for a Ride, a story based on the historical  flight these two women pioneers took on the night of April 20, 1933.  Then the girls experimented with building their own flying devices.

Pictured above from left to right are troop members Aubrey Spooner, Kailee Corey, Lily Powell, Selena Torres and Isabella Buccaroni.  Their experiment took off with lots of laughs and pride.  The evening ended with a tour of all the library has to offer.  Books and movies were checked out according to their individual interests and all the girls took home the recipe for Eleanor Roosevelt's  Pink Clouds on Angel Food Cake.
