A very special music class for babies and toddlers with their adults, is being offered at the Wheeler Memorial Library at 10:30 on Monday February 28, March 7, March 14 and March 21. Through a federal grant from the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, nationally known musician/educator Lui Collins will bring her creative energy to the Library's Mother Goose on the Loose program. Certified as a Music Together Teacher, winner of a Parent Choice Award, nationally recognized as a professional musician, and wonderfully interactive with groups of children and their adults, local residents are very lucky to have access to Lui's program for FREE. Similar 4 part classes on-going in Western Massachusetts might cost $50.00 per child. Each session will include time for even babies to help make music, sing-along, dance together, relax and make friends. And even while all this activity is fun, it has been proven that it is also crucial for children's intellectual, emotional, and physical development.

As with all of the Mother Goose on the Loose sessions, Candy Cross, Children's Librarian will be joined by Bonnie Price from Valuing Our Children. Through Valuing Our Children, the library's program is extended to include snacks and informal playtime after Lui's portion. And Susan Apetkar from the Community Partnership for Children will be available to answer questions and share information about community resources for young children. Registration is requested for the Lui Collins series. Please come to the library or call 978-544-2495 x103. However, when Candy Cross leads Mother Goose on the Loose on Mondays (other than Feb 28, March 7, March 14, March 21), no registration is necessary
